Endless skiing fun

Saalbach Hinterglemm – Leogang – Fieberbrunn “Skicircus”

The Saalbach Hinterglemm – Leogang – Fieberbrunn ski area offers more of that special winter feeling: pure magic with 270 km of perfectly prepared ski slopes, clear mountain air, and warming rays of sunshine. The seemingly endless Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang ski area is guaranteed to live up to everyone’s highest expectations – from ski munchkins and snow-park acrobats to sledders and pros of the pistes.

Schmittenhöhe Zell am See

The “Schmitten” in Zell am See – Austria’s beautiful panoramic mountain in both summer and winter – is also one of the most traditional ski areas in SalzburgerLand. Along with views of more than 30 summits at elevations of over 3,000 meters, winter athletes will find a wide range of options both on and off the slopes. Zell am See’s famous local mountain offers variety and fun in winter on around 77 km of ski slopes. With modern cable cars – including the Schmittenhöhebahn, with its stylish gondolas created by the Porsche Design Studio – a great winter adventure starts with your very first lift ride.

Cross-country skiing Maishofen – Saalfelden

Thanks to the location of Maishofen in a broad, sunny valley floor surrounded by splendid mountain landscapes, cross-country skiers find perfect conditions from mid-December until mid-March, certain to set pulses racing in pure anticipation. An extensive, 35 km network of clearly marked cross-country trails, including a floodlit trail after dark, makes Maishofen a paradise for cross-country skiers. The outstandingly maintained trails, tracked for both classical and skating technique, crisscross the diverse countryside and are also connected to an additional 120 km of trails in Saalfelden and Maria Alm.

Great fun off the piste

But also snowshoe hikers, cross-country skiers and ski tourers feel comfortable in the region around Maishofen. Many signposted routes for leisurely winter walks and alpine mountain tours give you free choice for your leisure time activities. Sometimes it’s also fun to switch gears and admire the glittering winter landscape during a relaxed walk. Tobogganing and skating are of course part of a winter holiday in Austria for entertainment as well as cozy evenings in the hut and the snowball fight. The sun, the glittering snow and the uncanny fresh air make the heart and soul jump.
